Cynicism

Could you both be right?
Can you all be wrong?
You're so sure, you're so sure, you're so fucking sure
Division is the key, separate you and me
We can dehumanize, demonize, devalue
We're all hypocrites and we just want to hate
It's human nature to make sense of things (sense of things)
I'm so sick of it, there's no empathy, no compassion motherfucker!

There's no validity in the enemy
There's no validity in your enemy
There's no validity in my enemy
There's no validity, no validity.

Admitting you're a human? Then I'd have to care!
I'd have to walk a ways, walk a ways in your shoes
But I can't admit that your thoughts are fair
Cause then I'd have to take a look at myself
I'm not trying to be a Socrates (Socrates),
I'm just telling you what I see (what I see)
I'm not trying to be a Socrates (Socrates)
Can I tell you how I really feel about it?

There's no validity in the enemy
There's no validity in your enemy
There's no validity in my enemy
There's no validity, no validity.

(You're either with us or against us.
Either with us or against us.
Either with us or against us.)

Maybe I'm too empathetic, apathetic.
